What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in from 4pm, check-out by 11am. If you're arriving early or leaving a bit later, drop us a message — we'll always try to help where we can.

Is there parking?

Yes — free private parking on the property for up to three vehicles.

Are pets allowed?

We're sorry, but pets are not allowed at Well Cottage.

Is the cottage child-friendly?

Yes, it's family-friendly. A high chair and travel cot are available on request — please bring your own cot bedding. Do note the cottage has some uneven floors and steps.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes — free, fast Wi-Fi throughout the cottage and in the garden.

How is the kitchen equipped?

A traditional Aga plus a worktop oven with air fryer, a hob/oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and a full range of cookware, utensils and crockery.

Are linens and towels provided?

Yes — bed linen and towels, along with hand towels, bath mats and tea towels.

Is there laundry?

Yes — a washing machine and a clothes horse are available.

How many people does it sleep?

Up to seven guests across four bedrooms — one of which is a single room.

How is the cottage heated?

Oil-filled radiators throughout, the Aga warms the kitchen, and there are two inglenook fireplaces with logs supplied.

Is the cottage accessible?

Because of its age and layout — uneven floors and steps — it may not be ideal for guests with limited mobility.

What's the outdoor space like?

A peaceful, private garden with seating and a BBQ, plus a croquet lawn, putting green and greenhouse — lovely in the warmer months.

How much does it cost to stay at Well Cottage?

Prices start from £1,000 per week for the whole cottage, which sleeps up to seven. Nightly rates and exact pricing depend on the season and dates — check Airbnb for current availability.

How close is Soho Farmhouse?

Well Cottage is 0.8 miles from Soho Farmhouse — about a 15-minute walk along the country lane, or a couple of minutes by car.

Is there a minimum stay?

A minimum of two nights applies. Many guests stay for a full week, especially in summer and over bank holiday weekends. Short breaks of two or three nights are welcome mid-week and outside peak season.

Is the cottage Grade II listed?

Yes — Well Cottage is a Grade II listed building, recognised by Historic England as a nationally important building of special architectural and historic interest. The listing reflects its age, thatched roof, honey-stone walls and many original character features.

When was the cottage last renovated?

Well Cottage was carefully and sympathetically restored over 2023–2024. The aim was to keep everything that makes it special — the beams, the flagstones, the inglenooks — while quietly adding the comforts you'd hope for: a high-specification kitchen, fast Wi-Fi and quality beds throughout.

What's the cancellation policy?

Cancellations are handled under the terms of the booking platform (Airbnb) you book through.

Are early check-in or late check-out possible?

Sometimes — they can be arranged on request depending on the schedule, but can't be guaranteed.
